Isabel Marant

“I don’t like the idea of being flooded with image and information. I don’t belong to the generation
of spending time on the internet. I think it’s too fast and too fake. It’s like going to a museum on
the internet – where is the pleasure? It’s sad because everyone is running after everything, but
after what? Everything is too quick. There is no room in your heads for all this information.
No one retains anything.” - Isabel Marant, March 2010
“I love that the ideas of the fashion world don’t just only belong to fashion editors, that there’s
another voice that is much more spontaneous and free and not overlooked by financial matters.
That I think is very important, but I think this is also true for many other subjects, like music or art. There’s this new freeness again that is coming up with the internet and that’s really interesting.
On the other hand, there is also a lot of crap. So you have to find a right way to deal with that.”
- Isabel Marant on her view of the influence of fashion bloggers, June 2012

Wise words! Amen to that! X
The perception and credibility of fashion bloggers has changed so much over the years. Now we are the ones who are the go to when it comes to presenting fashion information to the masses and global community. It is good to finally get some recognition ;) Great quotes!!

I love the internet and I love real life, I think the most important is to find a balance:)
At this day in age, it’s pretty hard not to use the internet a lot because it really has become one of our major sources for information in many respects. I totally agree with Dag that it’s all about finding some sort of balance. I really like what she said in regards to fashion bloggers. It’s been cool to see this progression and evolution. Thanks for sharing babe! It’s always cool to hear her viewpoint on things.

Great quotes and I also agree with Dag that it’s all about finding the right balance. I think it is important to realize that there’s more to life than what the internet has to offer. On the other hand, the internet really has enriched my life, making it possible to meet others that share a similar interest. So interesting to hear IM’s thought on things! Thanks so much for sharing Aliya! xx Kayin
Thanks so much for sharing this, I was actually really curious about what she thought since she’s all over the internet and blogs! I do feel both quotes contradict each other a little bit but then again, we have to remind ourselves she’s just another human being right?
I love what she says here…it’s so powerful about bloggers being “free” and having that is soooo cool how she worded that. I had to read it twice, I liked it so much.
