Evolution of a Boot
Isabel was onto something with this boot, and it’s like the trifecta of perfection with the silhouette, two-toned leather, and wedged heel. The Amely is personally my favorite, and it saddens me to the core that I never bought them (#abitdramatic). But to be honest, I have reservations about the Jacob. When a piece is updated multiple times, it’s hard not to compare each version, and I think the Mony boots were just so strong. It’ll probably take some street style photos to change my mind, and
seeing that Caroline Blomst pre-ordered these, she could very well be the one to do it for me.
We’ll see…What do you think about the Jacobs?

Yes, I definitely think the Jacob is a classic case of overkill. However, I always get won over by Isabel Marant shoes when I see streetstyle pictures so I might think otherwise in a while :)

First of all, love your blog! My local store is getting the Amely boots again this season, so I guess they’ll be sold at other stores as well.. So maybe you get a second chance with them :)

The Jacob is a bit too much for me, but maybe seeing streetstyle pics would change my mind about these boots. The Amely and Mony are my favorites.
The Amely boots are definitely my fave! Simple and sleek with some lovely versatile colorblocking. I love this color combo and maybe one day I can find a pair calling my name.
I’m with you on the Jacob sweetie! I’ll definitely need to see them on before I can make up my mind. I just prefer the look of the Mony with the fringe down the side, but we’ll see! If anyone can sway me in the other direction, Caroline can hehe!

they are a bit overkill but I’m with you on this.. we’ll probably end up seeing so many models off duty and streetstylers rocking them so hard we’ll be running out the door to get a pair, by which stage they’ll prob be all sold out and we’ll want them even more than we’ve wanted anything before hehe:) it’s just the Marant effect isn’t it?

I say pre-order them. I completely agree with Roisin!! Every model WILL be wearing the Jacob. This might be a case of “so bad it’s good” (Isabel knows what she is doing…) and hey, you can always return them…right?

Love this post! So wish I could have gotten my hands on the Mony..
It’s a funny thing, I tend to think sometimes that shoes are over-worked but once I see them being worn and styled on blogs by regular people I fall in love with them. My opinion is yet to be decided I think until I can see the Jacob’s worn. I’m waiting on Caroline to rock hers.

What a great post, Aliya! I don’t own any of her shoes only because she doesn’t make them small enough. I love all her boots with the exception of the canvas ones (Sailor comes to mind).
