The Philes

What do you think of Jess Blanch’s look (Editor-in-Chief for RUSSH Magazine)? I don’t know how
I feel about the bulkiness from her jeans and button-up because I’m too awestruck by Isabel’s Wad jacket. I think it’s interesting how she paired Isabel’s jacket (the cost of a used car) with such a
casual look, and after looking at other outfits online I really like her sensibility, but I’m not sure
about this one. Such a beautiful, exquisitely unique jacket though…Unaffordable sigh.

OMG this is such a great look! I think I could never pull this bulky look off, but I love it anyway ;) Especially the jacket.. *sigh..

  2. Not so sure about the whole look either, those pants don’t do that much good for her. But boy that jacket… Cost of a used car indeed haha! Would NEVER pay that for a garment but boy it might be the most gorgeous piece of her whole summer collection!

  5. I agree not the best look to valorize such a beautiful and luxury garnment. She wears it like “I put on the first things that I found”. But maybe it’s the right way? :P

  6. Before I scrolled down the screen, i thought: Waouh, nice jacket teamed with denim shirt. But then I was a little put off by the ginormous and too long jeans. There is boyfriend jeans. She probably invented “Grand’Pa” jeans, no ?
    Nice day to you, Françoise.

  7. I don’t really like the outfit, it doesn’t flatter her and the jeans is just wrong. Wearing such a unique jacket in such a way..what a waste!

  8. I agree, not a fan of pairing that gorgeous jacket with the bulky jeans and oversized denim shirt. Maybe she borrowed some clothes from her bf and decided to add a personal touch to her look? ;) Kayin

  9. To me, the jacket appears as an afterthought amongst the other elements of this outfit, but damn, that is one hot jacket!

  10. I love this whole look! It looks baggy, comfy and skater like and I love her top knot. Russh is one of my all time fav’ mags and they KNOW Aussie/surf cool without even trying! I think this is a totally badass look!!! Like total Rock n’ Roll AWESOMNESS!!! And I love the denim on denim!!! COOOLBEANS!

  11. Ps. that mirrored vest……omg…that mirrored vest…NEEEED!!! more like WANNNNNNNTTTTTT!!!

  12. i think everything was oversized….
in terms of mix and match in color, texture, contrast…i thought they were pretty off.

  13. It reminds me of a cossack traditional garb with bejeweled Genghis Khan vest. I guess I’m going to be pelted with rotten eggs now.

  14. The jeans may need to be a bit more fitted I believe? However, I agree with you…I can’t get past the awesomeness of her jacket to even notice anything else! LOL

it kind of reminded me of a flashy new age sumo wrestler. Way too baggy and unproportioned. It’s unflattering to her body and doesn’t complement the jacket. the look doesn’t look chic it looks like she only has one outstandingly expensive piece in her wardrobe that she can’t live without…even in her ripped baggy jeans.

I saw her on the day and I don’t think the bottom image is very good. The silhouette was really nice and not how it looks here. To me it says I don’t give a f**k, i’m going to wear ripped jeans with this thing that are way too big. It looked awesome in real life.
